Is my flag counter playing tricks or going bonkers?
Hi,
beside Flag counter my website has two other counters (motigo and goweb). With a very few exception til yesterday all three usually harmonized concerning visitor statistics and visit regions.
But starting yesterday Flag Counter shows significant different stats.
For yesterday and today, August 27, 2011, my flag counter lists multiple visits from additional and for my website rather "exotic" type of countries that these two others web counters just don´t see:
- Brunei
- Iceland
- Morocco
- Equatorial Guinea
- Costa Rica
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Azerbaijan
I know there are a lot of destructive jokers and idiots around us hiding behind the anonymity of the web.
Is my Flag counter gone crazy or is someone playing tricks on my website?

The mystery continues:
3 visits from Uganda, 3 Vietnam, 3 from Zimbabwe and 3 from Zambia today (all are new flags from these "exotic" countries to my counter) - but no count or hint of a visit from these on other counters.
You may think: Shut up, take the rare flag and be glad - for what it´s worth to know what´s going on? But my curiosity has to be satisfied.
Is flag counter more sensitive for registrating visits than other counters?
Is there a possibility to add imaginary visits to a flag counter without actually visiting the page? Looks like someone adds countries from the end of the alphabet to my counter.

You have a problem. Your motigo says it is "damaged."
And your FC overview only shows daily visits Monday, Tues, Wed, Thurs. There is no Friday, Sat, Sun. Maybe the admin can help with that.
You are probably getting proxy visits for your "exotic" new flags.
So maybe say "NO proxy visits!" in your signature.
But FC is about collecting flags. Right ? You are a "flag collector." Right ?
It is not just about getting "real" visitors. If it is about getting only real visitors, you would not take part in this forum. Right ?
You can always get help from admin in restricting the domains that can visit your site.

It was Arpad ( ractuwien ) who gave you those flags. Your counter is fine.

3 visitors is not a lot. as the post above i think is right. nothing to worry about

My motigo counter is slightly modified but working fine.
I´m a coin collector and using flag counter to visualize REAL visits to improve visitor satisfaction of my website. Right ?
If i would collect flags on my website i better should copy them from a wiki website. Right?
If flag counter doesn´t only show real visits what´s the use of this? I may also create my own "Fake counter" to impress visitors. Right?
I think flag counter has a credibility problem. Right?

FC collecting is just for fun. Like collecting coins.
