How to stop visits being logged from my new laptop?
Hi all,
I hope you can help me...I have bought a new laptop and now Flagcounter seems to be counting all my visits to my Zazzle storefront from my laptop? How can I block those visits?

You must have something on it that is deleting your cookies. Check your anti-virus or anti-spyware settings.

Hi Jeremy!
I probably didn't explain fully enough....I have a pc which was my only computer, then I bought a laptop (Mac) in addition....so I think when I go on my store on the laptop, the Flagcounter is obviously perceiving that visit as "from outside", so can I add the IP address somewhere from my laptop so the visits don't get counted?

My response is accurate. Your laptop, like any visitor's computer, should only be counted once unless something is deleting its cookies.

Oh...ok thanks....now um, sorry to sound a bit daft, but having never had a second computer in the house before, what should I set my laptop's settings to, exactly? Not sure what you mean by "only counted once"...I don't want my laptop's visits to be counted at all!
I don't have anti-virus on the Mac as they told me I won't need it...(I might anyway, it's a controversial topic... will probably put something on in future.) So that's not it.
I might possibly need help from someone who has a Mac as to where to look...but I checked under "security" and can't see anywhere where I can do what I need to do?
I searched on the forums here for 'blocking own visits' and the like, as if I was on my laptop, I guess I could just block the visits from that IP address, but I got nowhere with that particular search.
Any help from anyone, will be greatly appreciated...thanks!

You can prevent that your laptop is being counted by appropriate settings of the browser you use on your laptop.
Elsewhere your browser provides "Settings" or something similar. You have to search for cookies. If you set "Save cookies until they expire" or "Save cookies for ever" or something similar.
Visiting your flagcounter or the site where your flag counter reside will create one cookie in that browser intern cookie list. Each of your visit of your site will never be counted again unless you delete the cookies.
Correct browser setting can be an exciting experience. I'm not familiar with Safari you probably use on Mac, so I can't help for this in particular.
And by the way: Don't believe guys who recommend to not use anti virus software. They are hackers best friends.

Hi Jens!
Thanks so much for the detailed reply....I will check this out again...I did look under settings, but couldn't figure out what to do! Though I think I did see the list of cookies? What I need is a big arrow that says "Here, do THIS!" 
I do have Safari, but will likely upgrade, they gave me Leopard I think, and now of course they have started on other animals.
I hope the experience with my browser won't be too "exciting" haha!
