Re: FlagCounter cheaters/hackers
Accusing people of cheating sounds more like jealously to me, if someone has 10,000 from one country and you only have 1.. well it sucks to be you then. I dont even know how to use a proxy all my flags are legitimate from forums.
oh and PS i have 20,000 from Micronesia.. yep you can kiss my you know what lol

But it is only fair to say that every lastfm visitor gets counted 3 times. Plus any lastfm group that a person belongs to will get counted for every member. That's not even counting Tagged etc.
But it's not cheating, you are right, it's just knowing how to get flags by advertising your counter. And Rm is right, it's your counter. Some people are happy with just 1 visit (me), others want 5 million (I am not naming names).

Re: FlagCounter cheaters/hackers
well, this is what should be called collection of "real flags" Alkl our flags are fake
Now I see 118supercars has the same counter on last.fm and his blog. So it is THE SAME method that "cheaters" with + 10000 Micronesia use...
every flag is welcome

So why do you link to your lastfm site here at FC ? Hypocrisy. Why do you even use your lastfm site to collect flags ? Double hypocrisy.

Are you two serious with this? You clearly didn't read my post right, where did I say anyone who put FlagCounter on Last.fm is cheater? I said it is very questionable that hundreds of thousands of people would visit one person's Last.fm or hobby page. Please, read my post before you get all defensive. And besides, unlike most of you I use Last.fm for its actual purpose - listening to music.
As for anyone who has 10000 from Micronesia...please, you show me a website that 10000 people on those islands visit everyday, I might consider believing you, but until then, you are lying. I'm not jealous of anyone with that at all, in fact I prefer collecting flags the good old way, it is more of a challenge and adventure. My only concern about other people cheating is not jealousy, but rather than FlagCounter community becoming a cesspool of 15 y/o's who cheat instead of people who use FlagCounter the way it should be used. And as for people who say "it is your FC, do how you want" I guess that is true, but I prefer to keep it classy
Admins, what are your thoughts?

Re: FlagCounter cheaters/hackers
118supercars - you have flag counter on your blog but it shows not only visitors of your blog but also visitors of last.fm page
those you called cheaters do the same - they have their own visitors + visitors from other sites (for example Micronesian forum where they put their FC - I don't know how many flags they can receive, because, as I said, I don't support this method of collecting flags)
The only difference is that both sites where you put FC are yours, but the method is the same.
You said those "cheaters" are using proxies and you were wrong. They only know the places where to put their FC
