where is the flag counter?
I was thinking, does the visitor actually have to see the flag counter to register the visit, if so should I move the counter to the top of the page? I have noticed that a couple of visitors who said they visited my site did not register. Any thoughts?

Does anyone have an answer to this? I am also curious if the visitors need to see the set of flags before it will register.

See with their eyes? No.
The visitor just has to load the Flag Counter image on their computer.

I suggest not to make the counter very big. Then it will take them a while to load the image.
Just a small tiny counter will work. Besides you can click on it, if you want to see the complete flags
