We are renaming countries in accordance with the names used in the CIA's World Factbook. There is a nice list available at
This might not be everyone's preferred source of names, but we decided there was a need to stick to a standard and not have different names used in different places.

Shouldn´t you follow the IANA list instead?
In the CIA one there is even United States Pacific Island Wildlife Refuges^^

Hold on a second, the smaller Congo (Brazzaville) is not Democratic Republic of Congo, it's only Republic of Congo, DR Congo is the bigger one. Also, Dominican Republic looks much better than 'The Dominican'.

My suggestions would be:
United States - United States of America
The Dominican - Dominican Republic
Brunei Darussalam - Brunei
Moldova, Republic of - Moldova
Lao People's Democratic Republic of - Laos
Congo, The Democratic Republic of the - Democratic Republic of the Congo or Congo (Kinshasa)
Democratic Republic of the Congo - Congo (Brazzaville) or Republic of the Congo
Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) - only Falkand Islands would be enough
Holy See (Vatican City) - Vatican City
251/251 countries and 3,860/3,860 flags collected.

I would say Cote D'Ivoire should be Ivory Coast as outside of the country it is called that way

The Dominican - Dominican Republic
Moldova, Republic of - Moldova
Lao People's Democratic Republic of - Laos
Congo, The Democratic Republic of the - Democratic Republic of the Congo or Congo (Kinshasa)
Democratic Republic of the Congo - Congo (Brazzaville) or Republic of the Congo
agree with these...
CG is only republic of congo (brazzaville) not democratic rep.
theres only one democratic republic of congo - CD (kinshasa)
also gaza strip is not really correct. should be palestinian territory again (you can leave the occupied, thats not necessary in my opinion) cause the gaza strip is only A PART of the palestinian territory...
the rest is ok

LA - "Lao People's Democratic Republic" to Laos

CG - "Congo" to Republic of the Congo
FK - "Falkland Islands (Malvinas)" to Falkand Islands
VA - "Holy See (Vatican City State)" to Vatican City

But: The chart picture of the overview now shows "United States o..." - if the US flag is placed on the left side of the "ring". It doesn't look very nice. (In nearly all other cases the country names used now aren't as long as before - how about switching back to "United States"?)
BTW: You've changed "Cote d'Ivoire" to "Ivory Coast", too.
