No, it's not that.
Do people here actually think LittleRock or you travel from one country to another and visit their counters? 
I mean, if they know it's proxy, they can do it themselves, right 
But OK, have nothing against you offering the flag to them.
No, I don't have FC on my blog to "represent the reality". I just collect flags and it is ONLY kind of play for me.

I guess people with websites/blogs on the forum don't use flagcounter as a statistical tool, hence that's why so many flag requests 
Not all of them, but still, thought they'd be interested who reads their site

I don't think that anyone thinks we travel a lot Maybe some day I will, but I'm afraid noone will believe me than ;) I think, well, I'm sure most users don't care the way they are visited. they want to have many flags and that's all. But ok, I can point out the way I'm going to visit their sites.
can they do it themselves? well, I don't think so. Some of them don't know (doesn't want to know?) how it works, some have transfer limits. And one more thing - finding rare proxies isn't easy
Ad FC as a statistics tool
When I came here for the first time I found flag exchanging stupid but then I changed my mind. Now I like visiting sites/blogs all over the world even if I don't know language. Sometimes I find there interesting content too.
My blog is in Polish and I don't need statistics tools to know which nationality are almost all my "real" visitors
