Flag counter doesnt count my US visitors
Hi,
Flag counter does not seem to calculate the visits on one of my websites correctly. Today for example I have had around 400 visits from USA but the counter claims in total I have had 16 visits from USA since I added the flagcounter on the website, which is completely wrong according to google analytics.
Why is this?

Re: Flag counter doesnt count my US visitors
1. Anyone who views it will be counted. Where have you put the flag counter code on your website - on a sidebar or only on first page?
2. Flag Counter counts unique visitors (first time visitors).
One thing is a Pageview counter, which is a non-unique count and counts all the visitors, so returning ones as well, eg. if someone clicks on your website 10 times in a row, it will count him only once as a unique visitor but he has viewed the counter 10 times )
In other words, the pageview counter counts every pageview, and is non-unique.
After a user's first visit a cookie is set so that the user is not counted (as a unique visitor) on future visits.
So if I get it right, you've had 400 clicks on your site but only 16 of them were first time visitors.
So could it be 1. or 2.?

Re: Flag counter doesnt count my US visitors
The code is in a widget in a sidebar.
It doesnt seems right that 16 users should have made 25 clicks each one, some less, some more. Now I see that the flagcounter shows 24 US visitors but google analytics shows 950 visitors. Dont tell me 24 persons made 950 clicks on a blog with just a few blogposts.

Maybe they are bots? I can't think of any other response right now but if you give us your website URL, someone might spot something
