Protection against visitors being recorded more than once
I know I've made a similar thread to this before, but this has been annoying me lately. My flag counter has been recording the same visitor over and over again from certain countries (usually Asian ones such as Pakistan, Thailand, Albania and Indonesia) because that visitor's browser doesn't save cookies. In my opinion, this makes the counter "Invalid" since it's recorded more than one of the same visitor. So, I was thinking, maybe we need the flag counter to have another way of registering visits, and this way making sure that a visitor is recorded once and only once.

Re: Protection against visitors being recorded more than once
1. How can you be sure it's just one person from those countries and not several?
2. Cookies normally stay on your computer for some time, like a day or two or until you delete them/turn off computer.
You have "only" 15 PK & AL and 5 TH & ID
I don't know why it annoys you, visitors are obviously interested in the content of your website or wherever you've placed your flag counter. edit: i can see it on some cartoon forum.. you realise people have internet in those countries, do you and that they might be interested in that same forum like you
Maybe someone's using your counter but I seriously doubt it - in that case you could protect it in a way that it allows you to list up to 10 domains that are allowed to display your Flag Counter and if it it's placed on any other site, it will not function - for PRO users only (read more about it here)
All in all, there's nothing wrong/invalid as you say, people have access to internet everywhere, you can block IP range of that country if it annoys you so much.
btw, Albania is in Europe.

You're right, I was an idiot into thinking that. I shouldn't pay attention to the amount of visitors from a country, I should only look into the countries I have. Sorry.

Flagcounter works without Java - which is good (since not all websites accept counters with Java). But instead of that it uses cookies to verify returning users. Since quite a few user have floating ip addresses, cookies are imho the only way to "mark" them as returning or new.
