Perhaps the visitor from Costa Rica and France visited a page in your site that doesn't have a flagcounter.

If you get two hits from the same city in one session, they will only count as one visit. Otherwise, blogannath's post is spot on. Just checked out your blog - great Rio photos, especially the hang gliding.
