If you click at Flag Counter Overview on American Samoa you will find the country in Antartica
If you click at Flag Counter Flagmap the position is correct in the South Pacific Ocean
near the equator.

In this same topic. Flag of Åland though shown on the map is true, but all the information is given in Finland.

Apart from the fact that this is not the same topic, Aland belongs to Finland. Flag Counter flag information are taken from the CIA factbook. This online source doesn't separate between Finland and regions within Finland.

Why not this? Bahamas, Isle of Man, and others belong to the UK, Svalbard belongs to Norway, but information about them is given is correct. Åland than worse? Or are they in something not please the CIA? Maybe in this case, use a more objective factbook?

Last I checked, American Samoa is not located on the Antarctican continent. The map on its factbook entry seems to be just a bit inaccurate
