Should Australia adopt a flag of its own?

The current Australian flag is a defaced British blue ensign based upon the flag of New Zealand.
Since Federation in 1901, Australia has had 5 civil ensigns. They were all of similar design. The latest was adopted in 1954. Before then, the civil ensign was red and the blue state ensign was only for use by government organisations.

As the vast majority of Commonwealth nations have already adopted flags of their own and resigned their former British ensigns to museums, should Australia do the same?

Re: Should Australia adopt a flag of its own?

I think if it's changed, it would be great, because it'd be great to see different flag designs. However, I don't like many of these designs... I just like

Peter Markwick 1999
Athol Kelly 1979

You can see them from this link:

If they choose an ugly flag, available flag should be kept...
