Flags=bounces
Hi all. I just wanted to take a minute because I feel this is important. Exchanging flags is wonderful. BUT...when we visit a site to leave a flag and exit it in a matter of 2 or 3 seconds, it is probably not good because the search engines look at the site and see all the bounces (coming on your site and leaving fast), and could lower your search engine rankings. When they see maybe 20+ hits and see they are nearly all bounces, they may take it as though your site is not good.
We are naturally in this for ourselves but with this great community here, I feel we should also be thinking about helping each other as well. So please, take a little time to look around as you gather your flags.
I hope this isn't offending anyone here. That's not my intention.
My very best wishes to all of you!

Well.................. and not wishing to offend you or your site, i'm sure it's very nice !!
But i have no interest in poetry at all, so looking around your site would hold no interest to me at all.
Can i therfore suggest you also add a direct link to your counter, so people can hit you without giving you a bounce back, should they have no interest in looking at your site.

Hey, no problem. I'm pretty new here and didn't understand why people were putting their flag counter link too . I'm glad you responded with that! I will start adding it. Thank you.
(Also, just visited your site and left another U.S. flag.)

Well i'm not actually sure thats the reason people post a direct link, it's usually because you get a faster hit without waiting for the page to load........ but it might certainly help you if you're concerened about your bounces !!!
If you're stuck with how to make a direct link, ask and somebody will help you out !
(but basically all you need to do is visit a site such as www.tinyurl.com add your counter code, and it will give you a small url, which you can add to your signature as a direct link)
