Time zone
We are considering implementing a way for you to choose your own timezone for your counter. This would affect the time for the nightly cutoff, which is used in charts and for "today" and "yesterday", in addition to dates and visitor log timestamps (if you have pro).
This would not be a small project, so I would like to see how important this option is to everyone. Please feel free to post your opinion here as well.

Re: Time zone
Nice but not necessary for me. The "Today" page has reduced my need to see when my counter updates. Jeremy, if you do implement this, do you plan to also add automatically adjustimg for daylight savings time, as some bulliten board software does?

Re: Time zone
@rob. I agree. I think it would become unmanageable. Especially with places that don't put their clocks back or forward. Other sites have a real problem with this.

Re: Time zone
It would be a problem in Australia where three states do not have daylight savings time from October to March.

Re: Time zone
@ rob12345's suggestion and the appropriated replies on it.
It was stated by Jeremy that the user could choose a time zone; nobody was saying the time zone where the user is located.
That could be done on different way.
Selecting a time zone and let boardhost.com handle the daylight saving time issue is one option.
It is also be imaginable that one can set the time zone entirely by himself and that includes the daylight issue too.
I know from experiences that the automatic way is a nightmare. A lot of countries don't have fixed dates for time change. The date depends on many influences which can also be differ from year to year.
