Show Backlinks
I love Flag Counter-- upgraded to pro to support you guys. I really like seeing all the flags, playing the flag quiz, and seeing who is a new visitor versus a returning visitor, etc.
I would REALLY like to see where people are coming to my site from. Are they bookmarked? Is a popular site linking to mine? Etc etc. I know other services can do this, but it would be great if you guys also had an option to see what websites people are coming into mine from.
Thank you!

Re: Show Backlinks
Check your "visitors log" to see from where they come from and what site they have visited.

But that only shows what page on my site with a counter on it they've seen. I want to know where they were before they came to my site, like if they clicked a link through google or through a blog, etc.

Re: Show Backlinks
Flag counter is not made for such investigations. You should employ another tool.
I recommend to use PIWIK.org That is open source, and you will be able to store the information on your own server or webspace.
Other users have used google analytics but that will store all details on google servers.

Wow, uh, I'm not sure it's a great idea to dash my idea and then send me a link to a free service that does way way more than what you guys do even with a subscription. I'm starting to wish I had just gone for the free flag counter instead of paying money for the extra services... Man, do I ever feel stupid.

Re: Show Backlinks
We do not currently have access to that information with Flag Counter being a simple image. We have been looking into a possible alternate code option, which would be Javascript and allow us to collect more detailed information. We will be sure and post here when and if that is available.
