Re: Payment methods

Tjordal and Goalzilla,
I don't want to advertise a particular bank, but DBK offers VISA for free.

Re: Payment methods

I think people are correct - I upgraded with PayPal but they insist on Credit Card back up, in case banks don't honour direct payments for whatever reason.  I think, though, that you can still create a credit in PayPal from your bank account, then use that to pay for anything - as this is the default.

Your first sentence is wrong. PayPal don't insist on credit card back-up.
Your last sentence is correct. You can use a debit card, the one you use in a cash machine, but you must prove to PayPal you own the bank account linked to the debit card. First they ask for your bank details. They then deposit two tiny amounts of cash in the account, like 2 cents and 9 cents, and you  have to tell them what the amounts are. Then they believe it really is your bank account and open a PayPal account for you.

Tjordal means paying by international wire transfer
(i never did one to the USA but i fear the cost will be very high)

We had to try and wire transfer using IBAN numbers from the US to Europe some time back.
Apart from the fact the US bank person had no idea what this was, and took AGES to do it, it cost a lot, and then the amount didn't actually arrive for a very long time.

Don't even think of paying this way..... !!
