Re: Antarctica
i have long reconsidered and i think now i should make a few notes. i am not last.fm user and i saw the last few days the first time the homepage of the aussie-group there. my first impression was what is this? a homepage with tons of counters, rules, rules and nothing more. everyone can do with his homepage what he wants. but the question is, is this fairplay to all the other users here in forum or which are not on last.fm? i think 3-5 counters for some special friends this is ok, but tons of counters for people from everywhere? the people have to get all that really so necessary for a visit or flag? i think everybody can think a little bit about this. i got my flags and i don`t need to be "member" of this kinds of homepages. the one then argue about this publicly in the forum must certainly not be, for this we have the option private message. this situations are not so easy sometimes for admins or moderators and i can also understand jens very well in this case. i hope all understand well what i mean with "fairplay" and thank you very much for your attention.
249/249 Countries/Domains and 1851 Flags collected.

Re: Antarctica
Despite of using Lorelei's advice, using an email to ask for visit, might be considered as spammer.
I do google 'blog antarctica' last saturday. I commented on some of their posts. I also saw a comment by one of FC forum member named Rob12345. He got his 1st AQ on March 10. Lucky me, I got the visit with AQ flag today.

Re: Antarctica
I´ve got AQ flag today. It did not came from Antarctica, but from Netherland, as we already suspected. The guy who answered was really friendly. I tried to fool him asking about their services and trying to make him visit my site, and he answered:
If you are a flag collector then you better say so and ask us to visit your site rather than attempt to bore us with obvious questions.
When I admitted I was a flag collector, he kindly visited my site, and made sure the flag was shown.

Re: Antarctica
There are 3 companies that own ip's registered to "antarctica".... one in usa, one in ukraine (if i remember correctly) and the biggest one in holland or netherlands if you prefer, who own the majority of those available. The antarctica flag has nothing whatsover to do with antarctica.

Telling the truth is better than make a fun of yourself.. Btw my sitemeter showed the IP address was registered in the US, though the flag was counted as aq flag.

Re: Antarctica
What about the Australian bases? Are they Antarctic IPs?
That said somehow I got an AQ flag while I was away and not paying attention, and I really have no idea where it's from.
Truthfully, I liked the idea that the flags come from real people in the place where the flag is from, not from people registering IPs from who knows where.
