Block Pages On Allowed Domains

Why, in the "allowed domains" section of the management area are we not allowed to specify pages, only domains???  Surely this is ia simple change of code needed?

The reason i'm asking is that my counter is being used by somebody else......they used a simple copy and paste from my page to theirs.....no code needed.

I'm really happy that i've paid $30 for anyone else to be able to use my counter, but unless this is resolved it will be the last time i will pay.

There must be so many cloned counters on last fm and alike!!!!

Change from domain to page, and this will stop, and in  my opinion is the resposibility of FC to put and end to this.

Re: Block Pages On Allowed Domains

It is not possible to copy and paste a counter without copying and pasting the code.  A large percentage of people who have Pro have their own domain name, so this is not an issue.  However, your suggestion is a good one and I will look into implementing it.

Lorelei, if you enjoy having a free counter, you should appreciate that we are able to offer it in part because of the people who support our service and upgrade to pro.  If everyone took your "advice" we might not be here at all.

Re: Block Pages On Allowed Domains

Jeremy.....im sorry but your wrong...........it IS possible, which is why somebody else is using my counter.

and i got a friend to try it, so i could confirm it.....and they also then had my counter on their page, working perfectly well.

OK this particular site has a copy button.....like right click copy......it copies all of the code...and right click paste adds the image, as if you were putting the code in.....which gives you a working counter

Re: Block Pages On Allowed Domains

Paul Prince is right. I enjoy the free FC, as u said Jeremy. So thx. But I don't upgrade cos it is too easy to copy other FC codes.

Re: Block Pages On Allowed Domains

We have updated the "Allowed Domains" page to be "Allowed Sites".  You can now enter up 30 domain names, directories or specific files to allow your counter on.

Lorelei, I will be watching for your upgrade.
