"Disabled For Spamming"
Hello,
My site got suddenly a picture of a veal instead of the countries flags, as usual. When I click the picture it goes to flagcounter.com site and the message "Disabled for spamming" appears there. I have no clue why is that... I have not used the site for any spamming - how is that possible? I would be most thankful if you could provide me details of what is going on...

Did you send your counter out in any emails?

yes, I did... I was not aware that it was not proper to do that, sorry. I am now aware that was the origin of the problem. Is it possible to revert the situation and take this as a lesson?

can someone help, please? I have been depending on this statistics to report our website to funders and suddenly all is gone... I already mentioned that I was not aware that I could not send the counter on an email... and promised not to repeat that mistake again... please help as this is affecting negatively our website...

This happened too me in 2010. Make another counter and be more careful....

but making another counter means loosing 3 years of statistics, which will affect very negatively my work... :-(

I am now without the counter for almost a week... wrote several times by email but Flagcounter seem to apply a very hard hearing on this situation, despite telling them that it was a genuine mistake... it seems that no second chances are given - you do something wrong (even if you are not aware of it) and all those years of statistics are wiped out.. future users beware...

Dont email ur FC code. U never know the results. My FC code was lost when my site was hacked then deleted. But a friend in San Francisco had saved it and restored it 4 me 6 months later.

Thanks Lorelei. I didn't know about it... now I know... butFlagCounter refusal to give any second chance for my mistake is a bit too harsh... I explained it to them in several emails and on this forum but they seem just not to care...
