Hmm, could it be that your counter hasn't logged any visitors for over 30 days? In that case it has reset and assuming you're in Canada now, have brought it back to life. By clicking on flagcounter image you can see date December 29.

Their ISP/Flag counter's Geo IP scheme couldn't add them to any state & so they're "uknown", is that what you're asking

How did these two http://flagcounter.com/more/EFB supposedly Egyptian and http://flagcounter.com/more/bpkO which doesn't exist end up on your site .
Besides, you can have max. 248 flags, not 36222

Try this and let us know if it worked:
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://flagcounter.com/more/nnq"><img src="http://flagcounter.com/count/nnq/bg=ffffff/txt=000000/border=0C79CC/columns=6/maxflags=248/viewers=0/labels=1/pageviews=1/" border="0" alt="free counters" width="616" height="317" /></a></p>

If I simply insert a new code from Flag Counter will this result in the loss of all my Flags and visitor count?

Yes, it will.

Please post here your counter's HTML code and we'll try to 'mend' it for you. Let us also know approximate statistics, top two-three countries and the number of hits.
