This is the flagcounter forum the code you have posted is for statcounter a different (and much less interesting service). Your flagcounter however is interesting, it's an archaic states only counter that I have never seen before, and I don't think it works anymore, I can't find the base counter, and I see it stopped working in December 2019. I'll ask the admin to check it out, if a base exists this will be solvable as it is still counting something according to the stats page.

Sorry, here's the correct code:
 <a href="http://states.flagcounter.com/more/2AHU"><img src="http://states.flagcounter.com/count/2AHU/bg_FFFFFF/txt_000000/border_CCCCCC/columns_8/maxflags_51/viewers_Visitors+by+State/labels_0/pageviews_0/flags_0/" alt="Free counters!" border="0"></a>

Hi H@rry,

That is a very, very old code that we haven't offered in about a decade. I would suggest that you create a new counter that will allow you to utilize all of our features. I will see if we can get to the bottom of what might be wrong here though.

I haven't been using it for a decade.

Just in case anyone else is having this problem I found the problem.  I downloaded the code as if I were starting from scratch and added it to the code already in the page as another instance of the "app".  (BTW, this is not something that has not been offered in a decade as I downloaded it yesterday).

When I added it to the page and published it I now had two instances of the flagcounter running.  The one I just loaded worked as it should.  On comparing the differences between the two codes (other than the unique ID) was the "pageviews_0".  The new code had "pageviews_1".  I changed it in the old code and it works fine now.
