What is the total current number of regional flags available on Flag Counter Pro?

i think around 1000 have to collect all 
249/249 Countries/Domains and 1851 Flags collected.

Of the 144 countries I have collected so far, 36 have regional flags, altogether 763. Of these, I've only 268 so there are still a lot of regions that have not yet visited my site! Something to look forward to
Some of the countries I've not yet collected may also have regional flags, so Alexander's guess may not be so far off

I have 175 countries and 692 regions. 1000 is probably a good guess.

well, the flagcounter with most flags including regional has abou 989 flags.
but there are 1000+ possible flags, but some regions are impossible to get now due to the ip database useb by the flagcounter.
example: Indonesia, today is only possible to get 23 of its 33 regional. Colombia has about 10 impossible too, Chile has 5 impossible

Cool information. Thanks. You're then just 10 regional flags from the "top". Good hunt for the missing ones. . Another question - my "Newest region" at the top of the flag list is "Unknown Romania". I know we get "unknown" visits from all the regionalized countries, but I haven't noticed before that these unknown regions count as a flag, but in this case, I'm pretty sure my total flag count increased by one. Isn't this a bit silly? Does then the UK have 5 regional flags (including the "unknown"), not 4, and so forth for the other countries?

1025 is a total number. I've got 988.
251/251 countries and 3,860/3,860 flags collected.

That was an interesting subject as even I didn’t know how many regional flags were currently available on Flag Counter Pro!! It looks that no one seems to be really sure of the answer and think that we should do some research on our own to get the right answer!! I really think it’ll be cool to start collecting these as well and hope someone will be able to get all of them and tell us about how he managed to get them!!

That's not correct regarding Chile..... I have only 4 missing!
