Sometimes we have flooding here too, but Singapore has the worst floodings in this region unfortunately. The last bad one happened only a few months ago.
I have employed the water pump for 3 hrs to get the water out of the garden, that says everything.
Anyhow, I think it is nothing compared to other floods around the world. It is simply the fact that it is unusual for us.
Uh oh... that sounds pretty bad... hopefully all will be better soon. 
Hey, look on the bright side, you dont need to water your garden for the next few days!
