The cookie feature doesn't appear to be active
I have noticed that the flag counter (both US & World) are not recognizing cookies. Everytime I visit my own page both counters are incremented by one. I have NOT deleted cookies when doing housekeeping on my PC. I have my code is there something I should change. It's straight out of the box (free version) and hasn't been modified. Thank you for your help!

You can't do anything with the code. My flag counter sets cookies correctly.
One question: Do you close your browser between two visits of you site?

Yes, of course I do - how else would I be able to reboot? My other sites remember me after closing the browser and I assumed this would work the same way. Sorry to have troubled you, I liked the look of your stuff. Take care.

Re: The cookie feature doesn't appear to be active
It is likely that your browser deletes cookies when being closed. That is the reason why your visit was counted at least twice.
It depends on your browser security/privacy setting if cookies will be deleted when you close your browser. You should check that to avoid double counting in the future.

Yes, my settings block 3rd party cookies without a compact policy and 1st party cookies that collect certain information without my explicit consent. I will not lower the security level so have I the option of deleting the counters or having them count me. Good to know - a mystery cleared up. Thanks again!

There is your problem. When you add Flag Counter to your site, we are considered a 3rd party.
