Flagcounter & counters
I have had Flagcounter on my site just over a month and although we are all bitching for whatever reason, I think Flagcounter works. There may be so many reasons why a country is not registered? If you know the NET you may too! One thing about Flagcounter it does not collect multiple visits over a day and this to me, is so important as I run a weather station. The visits from countries are important and it is nice to know that other Countries visit your site, even if it is for a couple of seconds.

Re: Flagcounter & counters
That's because flagcounter only account unique visitors as one visit. So it counts the number of unique visitors, not the number of returning visitors.

That's what so great! You cannot add counts so if you need to a count that is unreal then just put a standard counter on your site.

Re: Flagcounter & counters
OK, it counts unique visitors on a per-day basis? Does that include yourself? Is it intelligent to not count the registered users IP address (presuming it's not dynamic), or would that just be in the noise and not worth worrying about? I find myself checking this thing very often (because it is very fun), and I'm glad to see my own frequent repeat visits won't be artificially skewing the count data.

Re: Flagcounter & counters
Flagcounter will only count one visit to a site per day including yourself unless your IP address changes during the day. I have two counters on my site and should someone visit my site 5 times during the day Flagcounter will only count that visit as one visit. I constantly visit my site during the day as it is updated every 10 minutes and I have always been counted a one visit from my country.

Thanks for the clarification! Wish it didn't count ourselves, though. Kind of skews things, at least until your are into the hundreds of daily visits when it probably washes out. Oh well.
I would love for you to visit!
