Even though this one comes up as a US flag, it is FPO/Armed Forces Pacific. If you have a revolver map, the dot is about 5mm south of Ghana!

In terms of unusual, I have to say the flag of Wales. How many other flags (and there are a few) have mythical beasts on them?
Now I know Wales is shown as a Reginal Flag of the UK - which is fine - but it is a country in it's own right. The definition of 'country' is a bit of a grey area sometimes!
Anyway - country or region - it's a cool flag!

My newest is Bhutan, which I'm glad to get, as recentlly as 1999, they didn't have TV, let alone the Internet. I also got Mauritius fairly early, I'm not sure why.
