I have just deleted 17,049 users from this forum.  It seems that automated or robotic spam programs got ahold of our signup page, and there were this many users who had never made a post.

I'm sure there were some legitimate posters who have just been lurking, and to them I apologize, and hope you will sign up again.

To prevent this from happening in the future, we've implemented reCAPTCHA on the registration form for the forum.

There have been recent reports from other forums of these dormant spammer accounts being used to flood the board with spam, or to someday make a mass attack of private messaging systems resulting in a spamming of all forum accounts.  To protect our users, I decided deleting all dormant accounts at once was the best course of action.
