make a facebook application on it
make it small so it fits right below the friend's list so when you have people visiting your facebook page, you can see where they're from. I could have my friend travel to Greece and then the Greece flag could show up. etc.

Unfortunately, Facebook doesn't seem to allow this sort of thing due to their privacy policy.

In facebook, even though somebody make an application, or even flagcounter make an application, it wont work like how regular sites do. It's due to their privacy policy like how Jeremy said.
If you want one right now, there is an app called MyStuff which allows you to put html codes.

This would be a very cool application as some of my friends and family are constantly travelling (work/leisure). I do understand the privacy policy thing, makes total sense to protect the user.
