Libyan Arab Jamahiriya?
Just got this flag, and I'm wondering why the flag is not labeled just 'Libya'. I'm pretty sure everyone would identify the country with Libya, seems out of place knowing that most of the other flags aren't using their full proper name.

I think "Arab Jamahīriyya" is just a title to the country, which "jamahīriyya" means "state of the masses". I guess the same goes with Russian Federation.

"state of the masses" i think thats similar with People republic

No I mean the case of the use of not the 'regular name'... Usually people refer to Russia and Libya instead of Russian Federation and Libyan Arab Jamahiriya
