Updated English names for regions
I've noticed that a lot of regions seem to have the native names instead of the English names... here are some suggested changes:
Belgium: Antwerpen --> Antwerp
Italy: Sardegna --> Sardinia; Sicilia --> Sicily; Toscana --> Tuscany
Mexico: Distrito Federal --> either "Federal District" or "Mexico City" (incidentally, I think it may be more easily understood to have the city's name rather than simply "Federal District"; likewise with the Philippines' "National Capital Region" as "Metro Manila")
Portugal: Lisboa --> Lisbon
Saudi Arabia: Makkah --> Mecca
Thailand: Krung Thep Mahanakhon --> Bangkok

You can change it to English, go to Region Name Preference in Flag Counter Mangement.

Re: Updated English names for regions
Since we're talking about spelling issues:
S06 counter Belgian regions (non-English names).
Vlaams-Braban => Vlaams-Brabant

Re: Updated English names for regions
Got some more English names -- this should be everything else:
Algeria: Alger > Algiers
Argentina: Perhaps we should have Buenos Aires > Buenos Aires (State); Federal District > Buenos Aires (City)
Bulgaria: Sofia-Grad > Sofia (City)
Iraq: Al Basrah > Basra, Ninawa > Nineveh
Mexico: the state of "Mexico" should perhaps be disambiguated from Mexico City and the country of Mexico as "Mexico (State)"
Portugal: Lisboa District > Lisbon District
Romania: Bucuresti > Bucharest
Russia: There is one region that is the first on the list, that doesn't have an English name at all! The flag looks like a copy of Krasnoyarski Krai's flag, but I'm not sure what it's supposed to be for.
Saudi Arabia: Madinah > Medina
Switzerland: Geneve > Geneva

Re: Updated English names for regions
Algiers is actually the French name. Alger is English.
