Re: Close old posts
Well,
That sounds like a very god idea. The problem is that I'm not be able to evaluate if the offer is still current even if the initiators have not been loged in for a while.
You might report those topic for consideration and we would give them a deeper review.

Re: Close old posts
I think it is must more reasonable to make a system who can delete a locked post after a period of time
After a period of one or two weeks if someone dont ask for unlock the topic the system to be configured to delete automatically.
That will save a lot of nerves and time on Jens believe me

Re: Close old posts
We try not to ever delete postings, as there is a wealth of knowledge here. Many people come here and use the search feature to find answers to their questions, even users who do not post here at all. I think it sounds reasonable to automatically close a topic after a certain number of days, or at least we could add a prominent warning that the thread is old and it would be better to start a new one.

Well, Jeremy, closing that Wallis Futuna offer would be sensible. The person who offered has returned to France like 6 months ago.

I think this is fine as a general principle, it is just in "Flag Offers" that a posts usefulness is likely to expire at some point.

Yep, topics in the flag offers section are always useless.
