Change Of Database Provider
@Jeremy
What is the point of using a Database Provider who does not care if the service he provides is correct or not??? He has got a buyer (user) who does not mind using a bad service, which turns out to be a bad service for its customers. As a Pro Counter user, iI do expect to get the right service from your Company. That is the reason why i am paying for that service, never mind how much it costs us.
It happened a while ago with two specific Countries listed in your Countries list, i.e. ""Herald and MacDonalds Islands" and " Bouvet Island", which now register as "Vatican". That dropped the total amount of collectable Country Flags from #247 to #245. The initial drop from #248 to #247 was out of your control.
Now, three more Countries register as "Canada" instead of their own designation. I am referring to "UM" - UNITED STATES MINOR ISLANDS; "GS" - SOUTH GEORGIA and "SJ" - SVALBARD ISLANDS.
Is it not time Flagcounter changes a Database Provider??? Or are we going to witness even more errors in the future? That being the case, the service provided to your customers is not appropriate and professional (as you know about the problem and most probably not willing to fix it), which will make me think the worthiness of carrying on being a Pro Counter User.

Greetings Matthew
Do you think so?? I was told the same when it happened with HM and BV and how many weeks have already past with no change???
My conclusion: It will not happen, until i am proven wrong!

Re: Change Of Database Provider
The MM database has most probably been updated at the same time as the server upgrades had been carried out. That caused those 3 countries to register as Canada now. MM updates every Tuesday and they should come back to normal then. This is not the same case as BV and HM, since they didn't delete Nauru, GS, Svalbard, UM and Cocos from their list of countries.

Re: Change Of Database Provider
PS: If they removed them from their database, they would count as the Vatican now, not Ontario.

Re: Change Of Database Provider
doneves,
The alternative would be for us to remove these unpopulated regions from our system entirely. We will not be changing our database provider, and we believe the database we use and the service we offer is the best of its kind. If you are unsatisfied with the service you are receiving, please contact me to discuss the possibility of a refund.

The only 2 unpopulated regions don't count anyway
