For Jeremy: A question about Iceland
Hello, Mr. Admin
Just a quick question.
According to my sources, instead of the 23 FIPS codes you are using to identify Icelandic regions, these 8 are used nowadays:
IC38: Austurland
IC39: Höfuðborgarsvæði
IC40: Norðurland Eystra
IC41: Norðurland Vestra
IC42: Suðurland
IC43: Suðurnes
IC44: Vestfirðir
IC45: Vesturland
and the ones that are currently being used by FC database are outdated. Is that right? Cause if it is, changing the 23 old ones to the 8 new ones would make 8/8 IS regions available, whereas keeping the old ones would leave us with hardly 15 or 16/23... Is there a way you may be able to change the database and use the new FIPS?
If not, no problem. Thanks in advance
251/251 countries and 3,860/3,860 flags collected.

Yea i agree.........id rather have a realistic chance of getting 8/8 than a totally impossible task of getting 23/23..........

I agree too! I am at 14/23 and I had many visits from Iceland, via flickr! (of course now I have not!)
I think that 23/23 now is impossible!

Re: For Jeremy: A question about Iceland
This of course would mean that anyone who has more than eight Icelandic regions would have their flag total lowered.

Re: For Jeremy: A question about Iceland
To be honest, I would rather have my number of flags lowered by 6, with 8/8 Icelandic regions, than keep being stuck with 14/23...

so would i....and everyone would be in the same boat...... i'd rather lose a few, and be able to get a full set than having a country that i can never complete.

Our data has not yet been divided into the new regions, the old regions will remain collectable at this time.

Lorelei, I have been reading and writing English since the first grade.
Collectable can also be spelled collectible: collectible is usually used in the senses 'worth collecting' and 'an object valued by collectors', whereas collectable is usually used to mean 'able to be collected'.
