I think it depends also on the date where Your flagcounter started to work. For example in my flagcounter (which started in 2009) there is the flag of Netherlands Antilles, that in 2010 disappeared.
In Your flagcounter I can see 155 Countries
http://s05.flagcounter.com/countries/HTn9/
and 88 missing Countires
http://s05.flagcounter.com/countries/HTn9/?missing
155+88=243 Countries.

Pillandia, thanks for the explanation! Now I understand how the total is calculated.

As for you and everyone else, THANKS FOR THE VISITS!!! Up to 161 flags and counting. Still have 80 countries to go. Please keep spreading the word for others to pay a visit to https://datm.org/. Thanks!

You all are the best! We were at 132 flags the last time I thanked everyone. Now we have 153 flags. Wow! We really appreciate everyone stopping by at:

https://datm.org/

QUESTION: Out of curiosity, for the main country flags, how many countries are represented now? If we were to go PRO again, how many flags are there for all of the countries and smaller entities likes states?

Thanks again everyone!

To everyone that has responded thus far, thanks a million! I've gone from 107 flags to 132 flags. I need to go PRO again so I can see the additional detail. But you all are fantastic! Thanks again!

I also just noticed that under "Personal Details" for the "Website" link, it will not accept an HTTPS URL...

Hey everyone,

We just relaunched our website on our new SSL equipped domain. We are still adding content back in because we changed the Content Management System (CMS) at the same time and things did not transfer automatically. We would appreciate you stopping by to see if we can also add a few new flags to our portfolio of 107 currently. Thanks!

Flag Counter Developers,

With Google now showing "Not secure" for domains that are not SSL equipped and with the push by many website owners to secure (pun intended) secure domains like https://datm.org, I see where my Avatar no longer functions correctly from a secure domain. Your code does not accept a web URL with HTTPS in the address. We no longer allow access to the non-secure domain since it is now redirected to https://datm.org.

Will you all be updating the back-end code to accept secure domains so that Avatars can be served from a web URL with HTTPS in the address?

Thanks for your time and assistance!

Thanks to the above six visitors. I'm still collecting new flags at our new website so please consider stopping by. I'll be sure to drop by your site so leave a link for me. And sorry for being absent... I unfortunately had a minor stroke and was hospitalized for over a month. But I am back and actively looking for some new flags (and new regions as well) so be sure to stop by.  Thanks!
