Counter just counting the visits from Texas
Hello,
I have a little question. I use the counter for some years now, and I have a problem with it.
Since last summer, when I go to check who came to see, I just got people from Texas registered, and even if they are coming from elsewhere.
For example I'm living in France and each I go to the page of my counter it counts me as living in Texas.
Any ideas about this problem?

Looks like your website is under 'https' (check^^)
Visits get redirected through some server which is located in texas (or something that work like this)
There were a few threads about this recently but I can't find them

This is indicative of your website loading external images through a proxy. Since the proxy loads the counter, and not the actual visitor, we are only able to detect the location of the proxy. You should contact your host and ask them not to do this.

I have the same problem!
I use the counter on my boardgamegeek profile. Other counters on this website work fine, I think. But mine only shows German and American visits - and my own visits count towards Texas, although I live in Germany. Anything I can do?

No, you can't do nothing except to ask your host to not to do it.
Before comparing different counter performances, you should check on which basis the counters count their visits.

Hi sneuhauss,
Some have reported that "boardgamegeek" is loading images through a proxy, unless you are using the https version of Flag Counter. The https version is available to any Flag Counter Pro user.
