Low tech Newbie
I am trying to load FlagCounter to my blog.

I can see the FC icon on my homepage but it is not functioning ?.

because "wjf.flagcounter.com" doesn't exist
wjf.flagcounter.com/count/maypole8/bg_000000/txt_FFFFFF/border_CCCCCC/columns_2/viewers_0/labels_0/pageviews_0/flags_1
Just try to click on this url...
I guess replacing "wjf" with a random server (let's say "s06") would fix it
Or just create a new one from scratch so you can also register it
