City flags?

Hi I don't know if this has been asked before, but I wonder if it's possible to get city level or state flags? Ip recognition is pretty accurate now a days, would be cool to see what states & cities people are coming from.

Anyways just a thought!

Re: City flags?

Jesus Christ no. First of all, it would be an incredible amount of work for Jeremy to add them and secondly, it would be an incredible amount of work for us to collect them.

Re: City flags?

Fair enough, I wasn't sure how much work would be involved...but yeah that sounds too much.

Cheers!

Re: City flags?

Don't we already have state flags?

Re: City flags?

holland25, how do you have 251 countries when there were only 238 in the countries list? I guess more must have been added that the countries list never got updated for?

Re: City flags?

There's a few countries you can't get the regular way and those are not in the list.

Re: City flags?

Ahh, ok. Which two regional flags are you missing?

Re: City flags?

Oh, and if you can't get those few countries the "regular" way, in what way does one do so?

Re: City flags?

I think it's forbidden to discuss the 'non-regular' ways on the forum. If you really want to know, send me a PM.

To answer your first question, Oued ed Dahab-Lagouira, Morocco (which is de facto Western Sahara and it doesn't even officially belong to Morocco) and Redonda, Antigua & Barbuda, which is an uninhabited rock which shouldn't even have an ISO code.

Re: City flags?

Ahh, I looked up those two places. That Redonda looks impossible. I don't think they're going to have an internet service provider there.
